Arches Build 8 - Permanence

You can never get it back...

Final update for the main storyline in Arches. Thank you everyone.

Orion did a lot of work on a new UI and gallery option, though he is still tweaking them, so it may not work 100%. Kardamon also drew a new illustration to take the place of the stock image for the trailer park.

We will release a 1.0 version of Arches in a few months, complete with another short story, and a ton of polish. To be clear, this is the end of the main story, but there is one more update before the VN is truly complete.

Android version will be up shortly!

should i wait for 1.0 to come out? Ive been putting this vn off for a while but I really want to read it soo

the main story is finished , i recommend reading it.

That was one of the most beautiful and heart-wrenching endings I've seen,

I originally found this story back when you first began working on it, but I never really read it because I got involved in doing several different things, and several different VNs, so I just didn't have the time. Over the last few weeks, though, I decided to go back and play some of the VNs I haven't yet gone through, and this was one of them. I powered through the entire story over the last few days, and, I'll admit, while more than a few times, I was put on edge from how upset certain scenes made me, I actually enjoyed the story, and I'm glad I actually took the time to read this one. Very well done story. I do have one small question though, regarding an event near the end.... (Spoilers below for anyone who hasn't read it yet)

Near the end of the story, I got the impression Cameron died, as his spirit was living inside Devon, with Devon acting as a vessel for him, but a few scenes later, Cameron is alive again. Am I missing something here? If I recall correctly, it even mentioned Cameron's ashes, which, again, implied he was dead. Can someone shed some light on this for me?

It did confuse me a lot too but im pretty sure it was a dream/nightmare devon was having.

No idea. It was a good story, regardless, but that just left me scratching my head.

My interpretation of it was that it was a dream that Cam believed was a vision of his future.

I suppose that's a possibility, but it still confused me, regardless. XD

i think the way it works is that very often someone who dies in Echo gets a sort of replica, like a ghost that mimics them when they were alive and those ghosts often posses other people, i think the same happened in Echo with Chase being possesed by a replica of the protagonist from the smoke room? i think

That's an interesting thought!

It's all over. It's... been quite the ride. I...
I haven't been this emotional in quite a while. That's how good this build was.
...It's all over.

Wow, I'm really glad I stuck through to the end. Amazing story.

Thank you. It was a really good story :3

I'm so freakin happy right now

Wow, its hard to believe its over now

Weird I felt like this one was just getting started I guess you can never tell with Echo novels
