Wow i can't believe im in tears right now.. can someone recommend me more of this i think im obsessed by a fictional character is that a good thing or im just crazy
So.. i not ready for a history again like echo, this one crush your mind? like, echo? or this one is more relaxed, even thought i read some people cried...
I am truly breathless. This game was constructed so well and so beautifully that I just find it hard not to think about it all the time. I was attached to the screen for the better of three days reading and playing, and experiencing a new world through the MC's eyes. I had begun on Far Beyond the World before this and thought I'd give it a go, so for anyone who hasn't played this game yet, let me say this; Play it. After the final scene was over I went out and looked at the night sky for several long moments, processing everything. I had the urge to smile, laugh, cry, and all because of this game! I'm not typically a fan of VN games but this one is truly spot on, and I can't wait to begin on Khemia! So please, read this story, and support the Echo Project and their team; they really deserve it!
I'm just going to tell you what countless other reviews for this game tells you.
Play. It.
This Visual Novel has made me laugh, cry, think ,question and love in one amazing story.
The world this team had created into making this story come to life is absolutely astonishing, the amount of depth and character that goes into each and every nook and cranny in this game does not get overlooked and you can tell they put a lot of time and effort into this game from the beginning to the end. It really proves the love and passion they had for this story and boy does it take you for a ride around the galaxy, all in the world of Adastra.
Adastra is a Visual Novel that is just like any other visual novel but however it's sense of charm and deep and complex characters along with the world itself being just as composite engulfs you. It's writing not just telling a story but also expressing it, a whole breathing world with it's own type of problems and how you get to see how the events fold out
I honestly could go on about some of the cons of this game, but honestly it's just to a point of nitpicking where it's just unnecessary, it's pros just outshine it's negatives where you don't have to bat an eye about it.
Regardless, love this game to death for making me cry and making me feel things! Amicus is the best boi. To the stars! <3
Hi there! I finally fully completed the game with the two endings, but it seems like there's an image missing from the gallery for me. I was wondering how to unlock this image cuz I'm not fully ready to replay the game entirely just for that image lol
This is my favorite visual novel so far. I just love the drama and the romance in it. It made laugh, it made me cry, and even question some of my believes and life choices. It had me hooked to the computer for hours, or days. I give it a 10/10. The only thing I wasn't a big fan of was the description Neferu gave about the Other. Don't get me wrong, is so good, just really really scary.
The game was truly amazing! Will echo be updated too? I love the story, the cute factor, and the sweetness between them all. I must ask, are there more planned?
Holly fuck... Just WOW!!! 10/10. This VN is just an absolutely brilliant. The emotions this VN gave me almost destroyed my, but in a good way. I'm personally not a fan of the ending, but don't get me wrong it was amazing.
Here's hoping that there will be another VN with MC and Amicus, because really it can not be left like that.
I absolutely ADORE this game. The story is so well written and I sobbed so much during the games climax. I truly felt the emotions of the characters and my only gripe with this game is that I had to finish it so quickly. This is long VN, especially since it's a linear VN, about 15 hours to complete, for me at least. I spent the better part of two days completing this game (while trying to dodge family lol). I just hope I can one day find my own Amicus :)
I downloaded about 20 interesting looking romance visual novels without reading any summaries or comments. I've completed 5 of them, with just having finished Adastra tonight after about 10 to 15 hours total playtime (was hard to keep track of time, but this game is realllly long. I actually looked into it and this VN is about the same length as the first Lord of the Rings book.)
I just want to preface by saying I don't identify as a furry. I don't really know anything about furry culture, but Adastra is by far the best romance visual novel I have ever played in my entire life. The relationship with Amicus is probably the best-written romance I have ever experienced in a video game. The climax and conclusion made me sob harder than I've cried in quite a long time. I'm still quite shaken and am very sad that it's over.
All of the visual novels I've played usually follow some sort of formula. Like a lot of little choices, you choose your romance branch, and the story is fairly short. Adastra isn't like that at all, it's literally just a full-fledged novel that's put into visual novel form. My two small criticisms would be there there isn't really any transitions going from one "act" or "chapter" to another, it's all continuous, so you are sometimes forced to take breaks at awkward moments. Also at times, the pacing can become a little too slow and exposition-heavy. But these are pretty minor criticisms.
In fact, this game was so amazing that I'm scared to play my 15 remaining games because I'm scared that they won't be able to reach this level of quality.
Oh trust me if you downloaded 20 VNs and you think Adastra is great, then you might be a little surprised if you play the others, but don't set any high expectations going in to any VNs, that'll just end im disappointment, and enjoy them for what they are
Granted, I don't know any of the ones you've downloaded but if you want some recommendations then you'll give you some
If you haven't check out Far Beyond The World and Minotaur hotel, both has only one route and is pretty linear like Adastra so you might enjoy them.
My personal favorites are Tennis Ace and Password, Tennis Ace is just a slice of life type VN but god does the writer know how to make good characters and dialogue, Password is more like a some what murder mystery with some fluff and romance.
Kingguard and Echo have amazing stories, tho don't expect any good romance in Echo (echo was written by the same writer as Adastra and personally I prefer echo's writing more)
There's a crap ton more so you can look them up yourself but these are my personal recommendations
I just finished the story after starting it last night. I haven't cried so hard in a long time. Thank you for this. I can only hope for 2 things: We get a sequel or part 2, and I find a me a partner just like Amicus. Cause he's who I've been searching for that is sadly nonexistent.
I'm sorry if this information is known to everyone else. I've just marathoned my first play through of Adastra and I love it and I've never cried more at a work of fiction in my life. I noticed that it says the game is updated within the first two weeks of every month, but it's been 81 days since the last update. Does that mean that the game is finished, despite it's "In development" status?
adastra has finished. right now it says its in development so they can fix bugs and stuff. either way there is a sequel that is more aboit another wolf and neferu called khemia and it happens during the time where the human is on earth
im gonna go on a tangent about EchoProject's games. Spoilers
i have never played a visual novel before last month, and its all ive been touching since. This was was my first and i can honestly say its the best game ive ever played. the thing about EchoProject games, VS my usual fighting game, is fighting starts to get mundane. every problem comes to and end as soon as i pull out my rifle. every time i have the ability to end it quickly and alone. but not with a visual novel.
In a visual novel, your actions are limited to what the main character is capable of, you cant just beat down anything that poses a threat and call it a day. and even though VN's lack the 3D immersive experience, they still manage to make me quiver with situations like in Echo with Carl's weird basement thing. thats something my usual genre hasnt done in a very long time. And while Echo could certainly make me anxious, Adastra is a whole different story
Holy shit does Adastra make you want to cry. Echo will fuck with your perception (but maybe thats just Carl's route), but Adastra can fuck with your emotion. if it were a typical RPG, i would have offed Cato alot sooner for starters. As soon as Amicus filled me on on the whole ship accident charade on our way to Adastra, i was immediately suspicious of Cato's involvement. Doesnt it seem odd that the only person with the means to cause that "accident" also had the motive? what i didnt expect was Alex. i admit the situation with him being intelligent but being a pet was suspicious too but i ignored it because Cato felt like a bigger threat, sure he was a typical enemy for me, but i cant fight anymore, and recognizing his threatening status i ignored Alex. so its a good thing Neferu was there.
Anyways point is, EchoProject perfectly utilizes the albeit limited functions of the Renpy engine when compared to more advanced engines such as Source or Unreal to create an immersive and investive world every time.
thanks for listening to my dumb furry essay. Im gonna actually install the game now
...Okay, first of all, weaponry isn't the only marker of technological innovation, second of all, they have access to interstellar travel and have weaponized laser technology, do you honestly think that with their level of development that they couldn't replicate our weaponry?

I’m obsessed too but I think it’s a good thing
Uhh.. can you recommend me some more similar like this one plzzz,,
Try Khemia and Far Beyond The World. Echo and The Smoke Room are awesome too, but only recomended if you re into horror stories.
Thanks dude but is the smoke room has a bit of romance?
Sorry for asking too much But I'll definitely try it all thanks again...
thought I think it'll takes a week to compose myself again after finishing adastra🥺
Yeah, The Smoke Room has romance. You have four routes and the visuals are stunning. The characters are really beautiful!
Echo and TSR aren't really romance games in my view, but TSR is mostly unfinished so who knows. They have romance elements in them tho.
so i finishd the game 2 times and probleby just under 100 houres im a very slow reader
i would love to make a Turkish translation to adastra tho i need to have permission for that. Dear Echo Project can i?
I didn’t understand the hype of this game. But after playing it, I can confidently say I would die for Amicus.
I would too but I think we kinda did
So.. i not ready for a history again like echo, this one crush your mind? like, echo? or this one is more relaxed, even thought i read some people cried...
This is a beautiful story. Echo is a nightmare.
haha, i love echo, but its really sad, so i will read this one thanks Sadrang
My pleasure! It will be a breath of fresh air. Guarantee!!
actually i already finished, and it was really good for sure, do you know another good story by here? to fill the void haha
I just finished this game last night...

I was excited about this series of games: Adastra and now Khemia.
I wonder what the third series is from now😆🔥
Cosplay of Amicus! (That scene was from "A Place To Call Home" VN)
Looks good! It´s here on itch.io? I can´t find it
Yes! It's here in itch.io!! Here's the link:
https://hugecookie.itch.io/a-place-to-call-home
Adastra is magnificent along with Khemia. Question I wish to ask is: Will there be an Adastra II that takes place following where Khemia leaves off?
Yes I wonder
Technically Khemia is Adastra 2 since it takes place pretty much immediately after.
I think they mean a second game with Marco and Amicus, to which I say, golly I sure hope so!
Yes
Will the game have upcoming updates or the story is complete?
The game is amazing. I hope it is finished, but for every beginning there is an end
If the story is complete, I hope it will be in a second part
The game is finished. And the sequel is Khemia.
Playing the game and it's pretty cool so far. Amicus looks good and the art style is pretty nice.
i like the video nice edit
Thank you 😊
👍
The game was truly amazing! Will echo be updated too? I love the story, the cute factor, and the sweetness between them all. I must ask, are there more planned?
Khemia is already out, the sequel to Adastra. https://echoproject.itch.io/khemia
yes I saw xd I had other questions too. But thanks!

There is a discord, and Patreon. https://discord.gg/7dNRFhdjZr

Haha, literally did the exact same thing. Spent 15 hours in two days reading it :)
Imagine if it was a book, like a physical copy of a book omg
I had the same idea bus a comic book
Adastra is the best visual novel ever... I JUST LOVE IT, i wish an Amicus for me

they have drones but we have guns and nukes why are we being integrated to the galixias again?
(Spoilery for new peeps, probably)
That would be why humans are being brought in as a Sibling level species vs a Child, because our technology is about at the sibling level already
they have swords and drones that shoots but we have tanks and chemical weapons and juggernauts
...Okay, first of all, weaponry isn't the only marker of technological innovation, second of all, they have access to interstellar travel and have weaponized laser technology, do you honestly think that with their level of development that they couldn't replicate our weaponry?
i was joking tho
