The parents seem like LITERAL PARENTS LUL, when our human was complaining I noticed that they seemed to respond in a way that they would to CHILDREN as any other colony would be called. And like any other parent, they are not perfect haha
Well to be accurate, in Adastra the Parents show us the moment when we are dying and ask if we wish to prevent this. This means they always intended for the MC to get his throat cut as the way to emotionally blackmail Amicus into submitting (not what I would consider "benevolent").
If the MC thought it through a bit more he would realize this, and realize that following the Parents orders doesn't mean he or others won't get hurt. It's just that the Parents get the results they wanted.
I believe they were desperate to get results, as their "future vision" is so clouded that they couldn't even prevent Marco of getting sick. Not perfect and not benevolent if the plan is crumbling like a cookie.

As a patron, I certainly enjoyed it and played through it several time. I certainly hope you will enjoy it, but it is a bummer that all the Echo projects will not be releasing this month and making non-patrons wait a bit longer.

I've been wanting to make a video for some time now, but I don't know how or where to start. It all looks so overwhelming, but the passion and drive are still there, lying dormant. My only experience is with Windows 7 Video Editor (which is dead), and the Windows 10 version is inferior. Can you recommend me an editing software? Is the one you use easy to pick up? And what is it called/where can we download it?
what kind of windows do you have? I honestly did not use a computer for this edit. I used alight motion which is an application on the google play store It's an editor app. It's pretty hard to use tho. I have Oppo a92 8gb ram 248gbrm it works on lower spec devices too but not as good as higher ones but it works
I do have a recommendation. It's the one I use. it's kinda hard to learn at first but you have youtube. you'll manage. It's After effects. the latest version is much better but I have after effects 2020 and it still works fine
There is a sequel to Adastra, it's called Khemia which takes place about 2.5 years after the end of Adastra and the first 2 updates are out. But the author was having trouble (writer block) and so put that project on hiatus to do this story first (which he already had mostly planned out anyways).
It looks like he is using this story , Interea, to flesh out and provide background/historical info for Khemia that would otherwise require a lot of flashbacks and such in Khemia. Also it feed everyone desire to see more of Amicus and the MC together.
I find it important to precise that in Khemia, you don't play the Human (due to the 5.5 years remaining) but a wolf named Scipio. It is likely that Scipio and Nef' will end up together (which I'm hyped to see)
I do recall seeing a WIP update for interia on Patreon. I'm not a Patreon myself so I cant see any extra details, but we should be expecting a update sometime either this year or early 2022
Interea is on hold as Howly has moved homes, quite a distance apparently. Patreon payments have been paused for a couple of months because of this lack of updates. That seems an honourable attitude.
This game can't be installed through the desktop app, at least on Windows it doesn't work. Instead of the "Install" option you can only click on "Open Page" which opens an external browser window to this page for downloading the zip.
All the other games from you work flawlesly with the desktop app.
Could you please look into it as I really like to have the games all at one place.

It should be returning to regular updates. Assuming nothing happens to the author or artist.

It's a spin-off of Adastra (happening during Adastra when Amicus takes the Human on a trip around the moon.)
