I made an account just to comment here - I mean this when I say that this is the best "book" that I've ever read. The writing is so f*cking good that this occupies a permanent place in my mind. I was eating in a Mediterranean Fusion restaurant and looked up to see olive vines. I was immediately reminded of Adastra and was filled with such a strong feeling of sadness and of happiness - my absolute love for this universe and the sadness that there is no more of it to consume. I do not doubt that it will be expanded and I can repeat playthroughs but the feeling of first going through the pages upon pages of text is equal to nothing.
Got peer pressured into playing this, but I don't regret it. This is the only game that has made me cry, and easily the best story I've ever seen in a game.
Is there a 'no-graphic-images' mode? Doesn't need to be a 'sfw' mode, I know the sex can sometimes be inextricable from the story and the themes, I'm just hoping for a mode where I don't actually need to look at the D if possible. Came here on the recommendation of a Patricial Taxxon video, and I'm super interested in this story-wise, but...

TBH some part of it given me vibes of it especially in the begining so i completly understand why peoples thought of it but since recent updates especially for patreons (because it's been almost a year public didn't got any update) it litterally has nothing to compare to it.

Small detail, but the human count is 8 billion now compared to when Amicus asked MC how many humans lived here after saying how many wolvens lived. I have this game in my mind for years so immediately when I heard the world population is now 8 billion I thought of Adastra XD
You too, huh? I know Marco is supposed to be a self-insert, but I think the game is best played if you avoid self-inserting at all cost. Without getting too into spoilers, I made that mistake my first time around, and had the same issues you did. I think having Amicus not being the one who kidnapped you would go a long way in making him an appealing love interest. Given the comments, though, maybe that's the draw.

This is my first time playing a VN in a longgg time and i gotta say, this is the best introduction to VNs for someone that is fairly new to it! and i hope to see more with khemia and interea! ^^
This was the first visual novel i ever saw, and im sad because i started with the best one first. Highly recommend, very interesting plot and cast of characters. I am in love with amicus.
Well, I guess this is me being 'that guy', but—keeping things vague so as to not divulge too much of the plot— it seems like whether or not you enjoy this VN hinges entirely on whether or not you like Amicus, and I'll confess, I don't really like him. Like, at all. Amongst other things, but that would get into spoiler territory. Regardless, the comments are mostly positive, so I'm glad that others enjoyed the game. I guess it just wasn't for me.
That being said, I'd love to see more about Virginia. Easily the best character in the game.
Fair enough. I like Virginia mostly because she has to deal with a lot of shit inherent in Adastran society that her brothers don't have to, and seeing how she navigates it is a very interesting story to me that sadly doesn't really get explored much. Though given this is a VN about hot bara wolf men I wouldn't really expect that subplot to get a lot of focus.
I'd probably like Cassius more if his initial reaction to Marco wasn't to immediately want him dead. I unno, he really didn't sell me enough on there being a good or understandable side to him to let me empathize with him despite his behavior.
I've more to say, but that's probably getting more into my personal hang-ups than legitimate critique of the story itself. Like I said, I'm glad other people enjoyed the game, even if it wasn't for me.

When I say, "whether or not your enjoy this VN hinges entirely on whether or not you like Amicus," I mean that he's supposed to carry the entire story. Without him there's really no reason to care about the planet, er, moon Adastra and all the other stuff. It's a pretty place, but God damn, it is not somewhere you'd ever wanna live. I kinda wish they'd focused on that more outside of and without Amicus; that way he wouldn't have to carry so hard.
It's been 3 to 4 months since I downloaded this novel... It rly changed my life by opening the whole new world of content (especially furries). It was sincerely not the first time feeling being connected to the fictional character, but damn that was one of the most breathtaking and heartwarming :)
Tonight I was walking outside, listening to perfect imo OST to Adastra. "love" started to play and I decided to look at the sky. I saw so many bright stars... I started to fricking cry and laugh (of happiness I guess). I "saw" him there, I hope he is there. Somethere in the sky, in the space there is that Himbo wolf Amicus waiting for his Marco. Beautiful story, indeed.
Loved the story and all the characters and soundtracks, i started to tear up near the end. The soundtracks in this game are so well orchestrated and everytime you hear one it feels as though your soul is being uplifted, was definitely my aspect of the game.
Well, if I interpreted this comment right, if you remove THEM from the ending, it takes away from not only the heartbreak that is the ending, but the probability that it even happens in the first place. The whole point is that Marco was being forced, even if it was for a greater good. He would've been happy not giving a damn about earth if it meant staying with Amicus. And moving THEM removes the whole payoff of the Cato incident, and the explanation for the entire story happening in the first place.
The happiest thing is that after playing this work, I learned that the team has plans to do 2 other works related to ADASTRA, which is so exciting and looking forward to it!It also fills my life with anticipation!
